The Super Eagles striker was set to clinch a jackpot transfer that will pay him 15 Million Euros-a-year, before Al Nassr opted to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran instead.
Victor Boniface was not listed for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash at home against Sparta Praha so as not to compromise the deal.
“He will train again tomorrow (today). I think he will stay with us,” the Leverkusen coach toldESPN.
“So I have to say that I am satisfied, I am happy.”
Victor Boniface could even play Sunday’s match against Hoffenheim.
“He is comfortable here, so I don’t think this is a big stress for him,” he added.
Leverkusen are in second place in the Bundesliga after 19 rounds.
