This comes after President Bola Tinubu presented the budget to a joint session of the National Assembly on December 18, urging lawmakers to expedite the passage of the appropriation bill.

According to Senator Yemi Adaramodu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, budget defense by Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of the Federal Government will commence on January 7.

The joint committees of the House of Representatives and Senate on Appropriations will then present the final report of the budget on January 31.

Senator Adaramodu confirmed to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday saying , “Joint Committees of Senate and House of Representatives will start meeting with MDAs on January 7. Final report will be laid on 31st January.”
