The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has emphasized the need for a unified and comprehensive security approach to ensure the safe return of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Lake Chad Basin region.
Speaking at the 5th meeting of the Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum in Maiduguri, General Musa called for unity of purpose amongst leaders and critical actors to restore lasting peace in the region.
He expressed appreciation for the support extended to the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF).
