Anyanwu’s statement comes amid a fresh crisis within the Party, as Sunday Ude-Okoye, a chieftain of the Party, also claims the position.
Anyanwu, who appeared on ‘Nigeria Right Now,’ a current affairs program, stated, “As we speak today, I’m still the national secretary of PDP.”
He attributed his continued tenure to a federal high court judgment, which confirmed his position as sacrosanct until December 9, 2025.
The Appeal Court had ruled in favor of Ude-Okoye, but Anyanwu appealed the judgment and filed for a stay of execution at the Supreme Court.
