The Afrobeats star, who was nominated in three categories but did not secure a win, took to social media to commend the achievements of his colleagues.
Tems made history as the first-ever recipient of the ‘Best African Music Performance‘ award with her song ‘Love Me Jeje,’ triumphing over a competitive lineup that included Yemi Alade, Asake, Chris Brown, and Burna Boy.
Meanwhile, American R&B singer Chris Brown clinched the ‘Best R&B Album‘ award for his album ’11:11,’ despite losing to Tems in the African music category.
Recognizing their accomplishments, Davido expressed his admiration in a heartfelt message. “Congratulations to my one and only! @chrisbrown! And to the Queen @temsbaby we are proud of you,” he wrote.
