Speaking during a New Year visit to Stanley Okoro-Emegha, the Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ekoli, Edda Local Government Area on Thursday, Kalu urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the President, emphasizing that Tinubu is aware of the prevailing hardship in the country.
Kalu admitted that the measures being implemented by Tinubu are tough but necessary for Nigeria’s economic revival.
“I might not be bold enough to take such decisions if I were the President, as he is telling Nigerians that we should start afresh. We would soon see the big light at the end of the tunnel,” Kalu said.
He expressed personal sadness over the economic situation but called for understanding, assuring citizens that the steps being taken would yield positive results in the long run.
Kalu also described his visit to Okoro-Emegha as an annual tradition, reinforcing their bond and political partnership.
“This visit fosters our relationship. Okoro-Emegha is my political son, and I hold him in high regard,” Kalu noted.
In his remarks, Okoro-Emegha thanked Kalu for the visit, emphasizing that their relationship remains strong and mutually beneficial.
