Counterterrorism expert Zagazola Makama disclosed this on Tuesday via a post on X, describing Bammi Yarma as one of the deadliest bandits in the region.
Bammi Yarma was captured in 2015 under former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari’s administration while smuggling arms with nine camels in Danmusa, Katsina State.
Authorities seized 1,000 livestock linked to his network and disrupted a major banditry supply chain before his conviction in Niger Republic.
Intelligence sources indicate that Bammi Yarma has resurfaced in northwest Nigeria, where he previously orchestrated violent attacks, mass kidnappings, and cattle rustling.
His return has sparked fear, as top bandit leaders are reportedly paying homage to him, gifting him firearms.
