The decoration ceremony, held at the Government House on Monday, saw Governor Zulum assisted by the Borno State Commissioner of Police, CP Yusufu Mohammed Lawal, in performing the honor.
According to a statement released by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Abdurrahman Bundi, on Tuesday, Ashigar’s promotion comes after serving as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
While congratulating the ADC, Governor Zulum lauded Ashigar’s commitment and dedication to his duties. “I want to congratulate you on your new rank; this is undoubtedly the result of your hard work and dedication to your duty. Therefore, I urge you to continue serving the country dutifully,” Zulum said.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur; Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Bukar Tijani; Head of Service, Barr.
