Despite spending big in the summer, there is a hope that those at Stamford Bridge can delve into the transfer market before it shuts on Monday to strengthen the team further still. Among those to be closely linked are Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel.

Garnacho transfer boost
Chelsea’s main rivals for Garnacho in the January window, Napoli, are reportedly looking elsewhere to strengthen their left side. Journalist Sacha Tavolieri understands Anderlecht expect Francis Amuza to leave their club in the next few hours with Napoli considered the favourites.
Should he move to the Naples club, the chances of Napoli going for Garnacho drastically decrease.
What FL says: The door is wide open for Chelsea to complete a late move for Garnacho in this transfer window. It is thought a fee of £60m could tempt United and that could soon look like a miniscule fee if he takes off like Cole Palmer did at Stamford Bridge. This is potentially not a deal that Chelsea can wait to do in the summer considering that the Argentine is starting to grow into Ruben Amorim’s system. If they wait until the end of the season, Garnacho may have grown further into Amorim’s plans and, suddenly, he is unattainable. Now or never stuff for the Blues.
Tel bargaining chip
