The EFCC had a few days ago invited Wahab and Raheem Okoya, sons of the renowned businessman, for questioning over alleged naira abuse.

The brothers were seen in a viral video spraying bundles of N1,000 notes in a supposed promotional clip for Raheem’s new song, “Credit Alert.”

The video, which also featured a police officer holding stacks of naira notes, sparked public outrage on social media.

The police had confirmed the arrest of the police officer while the EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said the billionaire’s sons were asked to report to the commission’s Lagos office for questioning on Monday.

Despite the controversy, Tinubu praised Chief Okoya’s six-decade legacy of entrepreneurship and economic contribution through his chairmanship of the Eleganza Group and philanthropic efforts.

In a statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu lauded the chairman of the Eleganza Group for his decades-long dedication to entrepreneurship, job creation, and civic engagement.

Quoting Tinubu, “For over six decades, your endeavours and achievements have not only inspired countless businesses to succeed but also significantly contributed to the growth of the Nigerian economy. The companies and industries you established have created jobs for thousands of Nigerians.
