The German Juice crooner, who was once signed to Jude Okoye’s record label and battled illness, which caused her break from the music industry, was once close with Burna Boy.
During a 2015 interview, when asked about their relationship, she stated, “Burna and I are actually very good friends. Basically, we are actually very excited about the project we are working on together, and that’s all I can say.
“It was real. A kiss is supposed to be real right? That’s all I can say. We are going to be working on collaborations together. I don’t know I can’t say a whole lot.
“I see something working out for both of us, I mean musically. I am not dating anybody in the industry right now but anything can happen; basically, it’s all about me being happy.”
However, in a recent post, Cynthia revealed that the fallout between them stemmed from her not believing Burna Boy’s denial of Uju Stella’s claim. She mentioned that if the roles were reversed, she would have reached out to him but decided not to after wishing him well.
She posted, “For those of you sending me messages to reach out to burna boy, I wunt. If it was me I would reach out but he probably still mad I didn’t believe he didn’t impregnate uju Stella in 2016. That’s what most men do.
“They lie and get mad when you don’t believe them… something he finally admitted to online 8 years later. Ya all leave me alone. All the best damini…”
Earlier, socialite Uju Stella accused Burna Boy of impregnating her years ago and denying responsibility for the pregnancy.
In a podcast with TMY News, Stella claimed she became pregnant after a three-year relationship with Burna Boy. She said Burna initially accepted responsibility but later denied it, and his mother dismissed her. Stella also alleged that the struggles she faced led to her losing the pregnancy.
“I got pregnant for Burna Boy after being in a relationship with him for 3 years and his mum dismissed me. Burna also said he’s not responsible for the child even though he accepted initially. I lost the child eventually,” she said.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy responded to the claim, stating that he only slept with Uju once, and gave her N20,000.
