“I doubt Rivers State will move past this quagmire in 2025. The festive season is a time for reconciliation and goodwill. Sending a message to acknowledge his former boss’s birthday could have eased tensions, but instead, the governor is issuing threats of fire and brimstone,” Okocha remarked.

He also addressed comments made by Wike about former Governor Peter Odili, suggesting they were a reminder for Odili to remain neutral in the conflict. “A father’s role is to stay impartial when his children are in disagreement,” Okocha added.
