He argued that the altercation between the two political figures would not end soon, insisting that Fubara missed an opportunity to mend fences with Wike during the festive season.

In an interview on Arise Television, Okocha stated that the ongoing rift between the governor and his predecessor, now FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, could have been mitigated during the festive season if Fubara had shown a gesture of reconciliation.

His words: “I don’t see Rivers State coming out of this quagmire in 2025. The festive season was a time for convivialities and goodwill. A simple message to celebrate his former boss’s birthday could have made a difference, but instead, the governor is threatening brimstone and fire.”

Okocha also weighed in on Wike’s remarks about former Governor Peter Odili, interpreting them as advice for Odili to remain neutral in the dispute….CONTINUE READING
